Job Description
The PR Account Manager (Health and Consumer Wellness) is responsible for the execution of client mandates and the management of client/stakeholder relationships. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, the Account Manager will embody the standards of excellence in the delivery of public relations and client service in addition to strategic and creative thinking that contributes to the growth of the agency. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of PR experience, excellent writing and presentation skills, is a strong project manager and has led client teams. Most importantly, he or she brings the enthusiasm and expertise needed to deliver best in class client service and results. Responsibilities will also include budget management, forecasting, new business development, on-going mentoring, training, team building and evaluations to strengthen agency culture. The role offers daily challenges, diverse experiences, and potential for growth.

Responsibilities
- Runs client accounts with team oversight and mentorship
- Build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Provides strategic counsel to clients
- Writes compelling content, presentations
- Develops and implements communications plans including media relations strategies, digital and influencer campaigns
- Assures quality of work from start to finish
- Participates in the preparation and presentation of RFPs/new business pitches
- Ensures budgets and timelines
Qualifications
- APR or is a qualified candidate for accreditation – asset
- Knowledge of PR best practices
- Established relationships with Canadian media and key industry stakeholders
- Successful storytelling with proven results for pharmaceutical, MedTech or consumer wellness brands
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, bilingualism a definite asset
- Ability to develop strategic communications plans and counsel clients
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with and strong understanding of the social/digital landscape and influencer relations
- Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare regulatory environment an asset
- Experience with Meltwater, MRP, Canva, Microsoft Suite
- Post-secondary/graduate diploma or degree in communications, public relations, or journalism
- Minimum 5 years of progressive PR experience, agency side an asset
- Comfortable working remotely and in a small team environment
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit and healthy appetite for career advancement
